Permissions Explanation

Page Scraper requests the following permissions, used exclusively for core functionality:

  • activeTab: To access content on the currently active tab when you activate the extension
  • storage: To save your scraping history locally in your browser
  • host_permissions ("<all_urls>"): To enable scraping functionality on any website you visit

These permissions are used only when you explicitly activate the extension and only affect the current tab you're viewing.

Your Rights and Controls

You have full control over your data:

  • View your data: All scraped content is visible in the extension interface
  • Delete your data: Use the "Clear History" button to remove all stored content
  • Export your data: Download your scraped content as text files
  • Uninstall: Removing the extension deletes all associated data

Children's Privacy
